39 Meetup Groups match “Organic Gardening” near Concord, CA
Rodgers Ranch is a registered historical site, and used to be a real working farm. The city of Pleasant Hill has kept and maintained the core of the farm, and has given us the opportunity to resurrect it as a place to learn about gardening and farming. We meet every Saturday as a group. Official hours are 10am to 12pm, but we almost always stay longer. Members go there on any other day regularly to water or do various tasks. Not everyone comes every week. No problem. Come when you can. Objec …
This group was created for gardeners in the Fremont-Union City-Newark (FUCN) area but gardeners from other areas are welcome to join as well. The group will meet to talk about FUCN gardening, give each other FUCN advice, and help each other with FUCN projects. There may also be trips to FUCN garden events or attractions. There will not be a set FUCN schedule until the group reaches critical mass. If you are interested in hosting a FUCN meetup, feel free to suggest one.

I started this group because "Scientific Organic Veganism" frames the cause and effect relationship of human behavior to ourselves, to one another, to animal species, and to the planet. The purpose of the group is: 1) To explore our relationship to our individual and collective life goals and purposes for being alive in relation to what we eat 2) To listen to one another on successes, failures, tips, hints, foods, recipes, gardens, farms, food preparation methods, and more. 3) To support events …
Would you be TOTALLY excited to see water-guzzling, pollution-producing, "seen-and-not-touched" lawns, replaced by edible gardens and drought-tolerant native plant landscaping? Do you believe, like I do, that if one or two of those GIANT homes in upscale neighborhoods (or tiny homes in the flats) were to replace most of their front and back lawns with gorgeously eco-scaped edible gardens, other neighbors would follow suit...? Especially if there was a massive PR campaign highlighting the transfo …
We are all descendants of farmers who worked their available land to produce the most nutritious food needed for health and survival. Today we are technically evolved yet disconnected from the farming process. As a result our food supply has been jeopardized by a large centralized system that we are paying for with higher food costs, lower nutritional value and poorer overall health. It is now time to seek the knowledge of our farming ancestors by taking a different look at how our communitie …

We are a community of spiritual seekers with diverse religious/non-religious backgrounds seeking to grow in our ability to live authentically from the "inside out" (meaning we seek to follow our individual heart and soul callings) rather than look to a leader to tell us what is "right or wrong." In fact we don't look at life so much from a "right or wrong" perspective, but more from a "is this for the highest good of all" point of view. We offer a wide variety of classes and workshops on topics …

We are a group that meets on the first Sunday of Every month. Our main purposes are to explore alternative economies, divert unnecessary landfill waste, connect with our neighbors, and have fun doing it! We are like freecycle.org, but at a Location! As a community we have many more resources than we do as individuals. If we share our resources we won't need to buy as many new ones. This uses fewer of the Earth's resources, and fewer of our working hours, leaving us more time to devote to ourselv …
