If you are interested in growing your own backyard garden and/or orchard come meet with us. We can even explore permaculture, which more people will be interested in when all of the water meters are installed in the Sacramento area.

We meet every Saturday as a group. Official hours are 10am to 12pm, but we almost always stay longer. Members go there on any other day regularly to water or do various tasks. Not everyone comes every week. No problem. Come when you can. Objec …

Sacramento Valley has its own unique gardening conditions: hot summers, cold winters (well ... sort of cold). What grows in Maine or Arizona or England, doesn't necessarily grow here. We need to embrace our own piece of earth in order to have gardening success! This group can chat, have garden adventures and share helpful advice with each other. Sound like fun? Let's go! A pretty spot in the backyard of a homeowner featured in the recent Elk Grove Sustainable Garden Tour If you have questions, …

What if there was way to produce an abundance of organic food using up to 90% less water, while producing up to ten times more food in the same amount of area and time? What if you could achieve this using 1/4 the amount of energy, in a system that is totally scaleable, does not require fertile soil, saves you time and labor, makes you a good living and is incredibly sustainable? Well the exciting news is that such a system of farming exists... it’s called Aquaponics. WHAT IS AQUAPONICS? Aquapo …
